Savvy Smoothie App Prototype
This past week, my partner and I worked on putting together our prototype for our app redesign of Savvy Smoothie. While there are many great prototyping programs out there, since we used Adobe XD to create our screens we also used that program to put together our prototype. I has been really great working together and seeing our designs complement each other and come to life.
Throughout this process, we have continued to grow our designs. We started our design with only 30 screens, but as we continued working and critiquing, we finished our final prototype with over 80. Even throughout the prototyping process, our projected continued to grow and change for the better. We continued with user testing of our prototype, to find any little issues that may come up for the user. We had several different people walk through our prototype and watched how they navigated it and what they were looking for. This was an important step to continue to keep a user centered focus. User testing also helped us grow our designs even more and make the small, but necessary tweaks.
Some of the highlighted features of the app, that came from our user research, includes the customization ability for ingredients, filter feature, nutritional information, and the shopping list. Users found these features really helpful and definitely brought the app up to the plate in comparison to the other popular smoothie apps.
Our redesign of the app has been such a great journey and process from the original design. (And as a person who loves smoothies, I wish this was more than just a prototype!) If you are interested in checking out the prototype yourself, please click the link here!
